Randy is a business strategist, marketing & education specialist with 20+ years of business experience working with innovative leaders, startups and entrepreneurs.
He is the founder and CEO of Customer Discovery Pros (2019) and Startup Investors Lab (2024), both ventures of DigiWise Digital Solutions LLC, of Somerset, New Jersey. |
Randy has advised 75+ startups to find product/market fit and viable business models. He has also mentored startups in the National Science Foundation's highly-regarded Innovation Program to commercialize technology and secure investment / funding at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
He founded Development Wisdom.org, a nonprofit organization focused on developing education, mentoring, entrepreneurial and ICT solutions to empower diverse, marginalized and at-risk youth and adults. This important work grew from his leadership / capacity-building for 5 education specialists at The Commonwealth of Learning in Vancouver and the successful WikiEducator.org project - where he helped build a community of 18,000 educators in 120 countries. He was hired as an Education Specialist for the Information and Communications Technology Council (formerly Software HR Council) in Ottawa, to develop a sustainable education strategy.
As Randy Fisher Communications, he developed PR and Marketing strategies, collateral and campaigns for Forintek Canada, Multiactive Technologies, Minto Developments, Branham Group, CATA, Precarn, Bell-Northern Research, Canada Post and more. He began his career as Director, Communications with the Public Policy Forum; and a writer-editor for the Conference Board; and a business journalist with The Globe and Mail, Financial Post and CBC Radio - writing articles about business, personalities and association / trade publications.
Randy has a Masters degree in Organization Management and Development, and bachelor degrees in Journalism and Political Science. He has a high tech MBA certification from the Canadian Advanced Technology Association / Newbridge Networks) and a certificate in Adult Education / Instructional Design.
