Randy is a marketing and PR specialist with Vancouver Angel Technology Network (VANTEC), for promising BC entrepreneurs in technology ventures with early-stage investment, advice and connections. Randy has mentored startups in the National Science Foundation's highly-regarded Innovation Program to commercialize technology and secure investment / funding at Rutgers University in New Jersey. |
He founded Development Wisdom.org, a nonprofit organization focused on developing education, mentoring, entrepreneurial and ICT solutions to empower diverse, marginalized and at-risk youth and adults. This important work grew from his leadership / capacity-building for 5 education specialists at The Commonwealth of Learning in Vancouver and the successful WikiEducator.org project - where he helped build a community of 18,000 educators in 120 countries. He was hired as an Education Specialist for the Information and Communications Technology Council (formerly Software HR Council) in Ottawa, to develop a sustainable education strategy.
